Descrição | The male has a black hood with mustard spots and the plumage of the body in a gray background color and finely patterned. The elongated neck feathers are dark and end in a small disk, plate, of yellowish color. The male has barbs and red combs. Male Legs are red and have spurs while the female’s yellow legs usually lack spores. The central tail feathers are long and sickle-shaped. Males have an eclipse plumage in which they change their colorful neck feathers in summer, during or after the breeding season. |

Localização | Found mainly in the Indian peninsula, but extends to Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and South Rajasthan. |
