The male has a blue mask on the face, mantle and underside of the bright dark blue tail, chest with bright dark feathers and top part of the tail with mustard-colored feathers. The female has the same male mask, brown upper parts and brown breast with a few scaled white feathers.

Found in lowland forests of the Thai-Malay Peninsula.
